Shoppers encouraged to buy local for Small Business Saturday

Following one of the biggest shopping days of the year, shoppers are encouraged to visit and buy from their local mom and pop shops for Small Business Saturday.

The day was founded by American Express in 2010 and was officially co-sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2011.

Small Business Saturday celebrates and supports local stores and their impact on the community.
